Love Lab Coaching (“Love Lab Coaching,” “we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have. By using our website, courses, store, and email communications (the “Services”), you agree to this Policy.

Love Lab Coaching provides educational coaching, not therapy. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Gottman Institute.

2) What we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details (name, email) when you purchase, subscribe, or submit forms.

  • Course/account information (login email, progress indicators).

  • Topic requests, survey responses, or support messages.

  • Billing details processed by our payment provider (we don’t store full card numbers).

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, timestamps).

  • Cookies or similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and email performance.

Sensitive information
We do not seek health/therapy information. Please don’t submit crisis or clinical details. If you do, we won’t store or use them beyond directing you to appropriate resources.

3) How we use your information

  • To provide and improve the Services (courses, downloads, emails). We do not purchase or provision Gottman materials on your behalf.

  • To send transactional messages (receipts, confirmations) and optional marketing (Loveletter); unsubscribe anytime.

  • To prevent fraud, secure accounts, and comply with the law.

Legal bases (EEA/UK where applicable): performance of a contract, legitimate interests (e.g., product improvement, security), and consent (e.g., email marketing, non-essential cookies).

4) Sharing & disclosures

We share only what’s necessary to run the Services:

  • Gottman Institute: We do not share your information for fulfillment. If you purchase the Digital Couples Set, you do so directly at Gottman.com, and their privacy policy applies.

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal): process your payment securely.

  • Website & email providers (e.g., Squarespace, Squarespace Email Campaigns).

  • File storage (e.g., Google Drive) for form submissions you send us.

  • Analytics & performance tools used to understand site usage.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety, rights, and security.

5) Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in and run the site (strictly necessary).

  • Measure performance and improve content (analytics).

  • Track campaign effectiveness (e.g., Email Campaigns).

Your choices:
Manage cookies in your browser and (if enabled) via our cookie banner. You can opt out of marketing emails via Unsubscribe. Blocking cookies may affect functionality.

6) Email communications

  • Transactional emails (receipts, course access, fulfillment updates) are required to deliver the Services.

  • Marketing emails (Loveletter, offers) are optional; unsubscribe anytime or email viktor@mylovelab.ca.

7) Course data & digital delivery

  • Course access: Your purchase includes lifetime access to the 7-Week Relationship Reset. We log basic activity (e.g., lesson opened, timestamp) to administer your account and support you.

  • Materials: The Seven Principles Digital Couples Set is purchased and accessed at Gottman.com → My Account. Love Lab Coaching does not sell, host, or support Gottman materials; all purchases, refunds, and access troubleshooting are handled by Gottman.com.

  • Anti-piracy: Materials are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. We may use watermarking or access controls.

8) Data retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify data unless retention is legally required or necessary for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records).

9) Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., Canada’s PIPEDA, EU/UK GDPR, U.S. state laws), you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information.

  • Withdraw consent (e.g., marketing emails).

  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Port your data.

10) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11) Children’s privacy

Our Services aren’t directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to delete it.

12) International transfers

Our service providers may process information in jurisdictions outside your province or country (e.g., the United States). By using the Services, you consent to these transfers in accordance with applicable law.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll change the Effective date above when we do. If changes are material, we’ll provide additional notice (e.g., email or site banner). Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
