The Intentional Team
Small everyday actions. Better working relationships.
Working well together takes more than knowing everyone’s job title. It involves understanding different pressures, recognizing contributions, and handling everyday friction with attention and respect.
The Intentional Team is a practical, interactive workshop from Viktor’s Team Lab. Through guided conversations and workplace exercises, teams explore how small, intentional actions can support clearer communication and more thoughtful collaboration.
What your team will explore
Understand the people behind the roles
Learn more about colleagues’ working preferences, responsibilities, and pressures—and question assumptions that can get in the way.
Make appreciation specific
Practise recognizing the everyday contributions that help the team function, including work that often goes unnoticed.
Communicate through friction
Explore clear requests, respectful disagreement, different perspectives, and ways to reset a conversation when it becomes tense.
Build habits that continue afterward
Choose one practical team habit to try, with a clear plan to review what helps.
A thoughtful approach to team development
Good teamwork involves deliberately noticing, understanding, and responding to the people we work with.
The workshop draws on ideas from Gottman’s Seven Principles, thoughtfully adapted to workplace relationships. Activities focus on professional interactions, with no requirement to share personal relationship experiences.
This is an independently developed educational workshop from Viktor’s Team Lab, not an official Gottman Institute program. It is not psychotherapy, workplace investigation, or a substitute for addressing organizational problems.
